Welcome to the Old Catholic Church Swindon

At the Old Catholic Church Swindon, we are devoted to sharing the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. Our mission is not merely a routine—it reflects a profound commitment to serving the spiritual needs of our members and the wider community. We invite you to explore the vibrant hub of faith, support, and inclusivity that we have cultivated together.

Our Mission

Our mission centers on serving both our congregation and the broader community. We believe everyone deserves a warm and welcoming space where they can encounter God’s presence.

Guided by this mission, we design programs and outreach that meet practical and spiritual needs. Last year, 85% of those we served reported feeling blessed by the support they received—a testament to the power of our collective efforts.

Inclusivity is at the heart of our mission. We welcome all, regardless of background, beliefs, or life experiences, fostering a true sense of belonging and spiritual care.

Our Vision

We envision the Old Catholic Church Swindon as a guiding light in the community. Beyond providing spiritual nourishment, we aim to empower individuals to grow in their relationship with God.

Our ministries and programs are designed to foster both personal and communal growth. For example, last year, over 100 attendees participated in workshops exploring the impact of faith on daily decision-making—strengthening both individual spirituality and community bonds.

Our Values

Our work is grounded in three core values inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ: Love, Compassion, and Service.

Love – Love guides everything we do. We strive to embody Christ’s unconditional love, ensuring each member feels cherished and supported in their spiritual journey.

Compassion – Compassion motivates our outreach and support efforts. Last year, we assisted over 150 families through community programs, ensuring kindness and understanding are extended to all.

Service – True faith is expressed through selfless action. Our congregation participates in volunteer opportunities such as local shelters and community clean-up projects, with over 200 members engaged last year.

By living these values, we reflect Christ’s teachings and foster meaningful spiritual and practical support within and beyond our parish.

Community Engagement

The Old Catholic Church Swindon is more than a place of worship; it is a thriving, engaged community.

Outreach Programs – We create initiatives that connect with those who may not feel at home in a traditional church setting.

Support Groups – From grief counseling to parenting classes, we provide safe spaces for individuals to receive guidance, support, and encouragement.

Through active community engagement, we build trust, nurture relationships, and foster spiritual connections.

Spiritual Growth Opportunities

Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey, and our parish provides numerous opportunities to deepen faith and understanding.

Bible Study – Our sessions allow members to explore Scripture in depth, creating dialogue and reflection on faith and personal experience.

Worship Services – Weekly worship fosters community and devotion, with attendance growing 25% over the past year.

Retreats and Workshops – We offer retreats and workshops for personal reflection, renewal, and enrichment, recognizing the unique spiritual journey of each individual.

A Welcoming Environment

Creating a welcoming, inclusive environment is central to our identity.

Inclusivity – We celebrate diversity, ensuring everyone feels valued as part of God’s family.

Friendly Community – Our members pride themselves on warmth and hospitality. Newcomers experience genuine welcome, contributing to a retention rate exceeding 70%.

Supportive Leadership – Our clergy and leadership prioritize openness, guidance, and care, nurturing both personal and collective spiritual growth.

Impacting the World

While our parish community is vital, we are also committed to making a positive impact beyond our walls.

Social Justice – We advocate for equality, dignity, and justice, reflecting Christ’s teachings through action and dialogue.

Through these efforts, we strive to be a beacon of hope and service, both locally and globally.

Our Commitment

The Old Catholic Church Swindon is guided by mission, vision, and values rooted in love, compassion, and service. We provide a welcoming space for spiritual growth, meaningful connections, and active engagement in the wider community.

We invite everyone to join us in living out the teachings of Jesus Christ—together building a church and community defined by faith, love, and service.
